Heyy Everyone!!!
My life is super crazy right now!!! NO JOKE. But I am most excited about this one thing called PROM! I just got asked (Whoo hoo!!!) SO of COURSE I was so excited to find my dream dress!!!
So this weekend, my bff & I went on a mission to find my perfect dress. & GUESS WHAT. I found it!
I also picked up some advice about dress-picking along the way:
Prom dresses are traditionally llloooonnnnnggggg. However, some figures may benefit from a shorter dress. AND why not switch it up? If you find a GORGEOUS dress that is short, don't skip it just because of the length. Give it a fair shot, ok? ;)
PLUS, I saw that a lot of the dresses were strapless. Although this may look TOTALLY ADORABLE, it may be a bit uncomfortable and annoying to wear to a dance. I know I get pretty ticked when I have to constantly "hoist" as my friends and I call it. Hehe. But, if you are ok with "hoisting", then go for it! Strapless dresses are beautiful.
If you have a strapless dress that seems like it was made for you, but you don't like the idea of it being strapless, just go to a fabric store and find some matching ribbon to attach to the shoulders. Then, you can make it into a halter, or just a regular dress with straps. Viola!
Oh, and just a reminder: Most likely, you will be dancing alll night long. So when you pick a pair of shoes, make sure that they are comfortable!!! Yes, the 4 inch stilletos are super cute, but are your feet going to like them about 2 hours in?
