I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THE OLYMPICS!!!
I don't know how to put it any other way. I have been staying up to all hours of the night so that I can watch as much of the olympics as I can. I definitely like the summer games more than the winter, so when they come around every four years I really have to soak them all in. Because, it sucks when you have to wait four years for the next ones to come. So, I think I've watched at least a little bit of almost all of the sports and I want to share with you guys some conclusions I've come up with:
1. Michael Phelps is my hero!!! I totally want to get a Phelps Phan t-shirt so I can sport how cool he is.
2. I get really patriotic when the Olympics are on. Especially when Americans are standing on the top of the podium and the national anthem is playing. Now, I'm not saying I've got tears rolling down my face, but I definitely start to feel a sense of pride. Which really doesn't make any sense because I didn't do anything myself, but whatever.
3. There are some olympic sports that should definitely not exist. 10m air pistol - possibly the most boring thing I've ever watched. Equestrian - the jumping is okay; I can handle that, but the dressage portion(where they do different walks/trots around a rectangle) is terrible. What can I say?
4. I need to find a sport so that I can start winning Gold medals in my future. I know I'm a little older than the average, but I think if I found something and worked really hard I could make it. I feel like my best bet is Table Tennis.
So, that's what I've come up with for the first week of the olympics. Let me know what you guys have all thought of them.

so, I live in Los Angeles and we had a pretty big earthquake the other day. It actually registered as a 5.4 on the scale, which is pretty big in the scheme of things! But, for those of you that have never been in one, I thought I would kind of explain wha it was like from my point of view.
So, I was just sitting with one of my friends on our couch watching TV. She's from Nashville and was just out in LA for the week, so she's really not used to things like that happening. So, we were just sitting there watching tv when all of sudden the house just starting rumbling. It wasn't like a violent shake, but it was kind of like if a big 18 wheel truck drives right by your house. I initially thought it was a plane flying over head. So, it did that for about 5 seconds and then started to build and build. It got up to a pretty violent shake. Now, I didn't really react too amazingly on my feet, because all I didn was sit there, look at my friend, and say, "I think it's an earthquake." You're supposed to get up in stand in a doorway, but I just sat there and smiled. It was really shaking for about 10-15 seconds, and I started to get a little bit worried. At first it's kind of fun and exciting, but you start to get to the point where you start thinking that it's not going to stop. Thankfully, right when I started thinking that, it started to slow down and stop. All my roomates ran out and we started laughing and talkng about it. It was quite an experience going through something like that. I don't mean to be a dork, but my heart was definitely pumping pretty hard after it happened. I wasn't really ever scared, but it got my adrenaline going pretty darn well!
I am a little disappointed with our dogs, because I heard that they are supposed to sense these kinds of thing before they happen, but all they did was lay there and sleep. Worthless I tell ya, worthless.

Hey Hey Hey!!!
How was all of your 4th's? I had a great day. My roomates and I threw a barbeque for all of our friends and it was awesome. We ate a ton of food, and watched some great fireworks(gotta have those) My friend and I were discussing how funny it would be if there was a radio broadcast for fireworks. I don't think there could be anything less interesting than listening to fireworks on the radio!!! It was funny to us.
So one of my friends bought a new instrument the other day called a Cajon. It basicly looks like a box, but you sit on it and use it as a drum. I was surprised at how fun it is to play. It's also really cool because it adds a ton to any song that you put it in. A bunch of my friends play acoustinc guitar and the Cajon adds a huge element to all the stuff that they play. And it's simple...Which is great for me, cause I can't really play any cool instruments. So ya, if you like beating on things, or need a place to sit...you should go by one...they're great.
That's what I've got right now, but I will write again soon when something BIG happens.
Hope everythings good. Shoot me some comments.

So, I'm all over the place with my feelings in life right now. At the moment I'm really sad because my boys (Portugal) just lost in Euro 2008. I really thought they could make a run at the championship this year, but unfortunately they had to face a really good German team. So, now just for the sake of fun and games, I have to pick someone else to root for. I really like the Netherlands and Ruud Van Nistelroy, but I have to root for the Germans because they have the best name in the whole tournament on they're team...Are you ready for this...Bastian Schweinsteiger!!! I wish my name was that cool...oh well I guess you can't win them all.
I have to give myself a shout out, because I called the Celtics winning the NBA Championship...AND THEY DID!!! Congrats to them and I'm so happy that I am able to Live in L.A. when the Boston Celtics came in and DESTROYED them in game six. Redemption is sweet.
What else? I got new headshots a couple of weeks ago. I'll put some of them up so that you guys can have a look at them. These aren't the ones I've chosen to use, but it gives you an idea.

So, let's do a little role reversal here, I need some advice from all of you. I just recently broke up with a girl that was dating for about two months. I know it wasn't a long time, but at the same time there were still lots of feelings involved. We haven't spoken since(which was two weeks ago) because we wanted to let all the feelings simmer down before/if we try to make a friendship work. I tried to be honest with her and let her know how I was feeling, but I think she's pretty upset. I told her I wouldn't call her until she was ready and called me, so I'm kinda stuck. I still feel like it was the right thing to end the relationship, but I still feel pretty bad. What do you think I should do?
Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

What's up ladies and germs? That's a strange saying now that I think about it. I wonder where that came from. If any of you know I would love to get filled in on that.
Anywho, there is so much exciting stuff going on right now. If you've read my blogs you know that I love sports, so we'll start with that. I was right when I predicted the Celtics and the Lakers in the NBA finals. It has been a crazy series dominated by the home team. Boston is up 2-1 in the series but the Lakers have two more in a row at home, so the Celtics really need to steal one from them in LA. I'm not the most popular person in LA right now because I'm rooting for the Celtics. People think I must be crazy to not be rooting for the Lakers, but almost all of them just became Lakers fans within the last month so I don't think I really need to explain myself too much.
We also have Euro2008 going on right now. Most people don't care one iota about this, but if you're a soccer(futbol) fan you know that this is a huge thing. I never used to be a big soccer fan, but I starting watching it in about 2004. I watched a ton of the World Cup in 2006 and starting really enjoying it. My favorite international team(besides the U.S.) is Portugal and they are looking really good right now, so I'm happy. They are led by co captain Cristiano Ronaldo who is absolutely AMAZING!!! (Watch the video I attached and you'll see.) The only thing that stinks is that because it's in Austria and Switzerland this year I have to wake up really early to watch any of the games. Freaking time changes!!!
What else have I got. Oh I found out about this new artist that I think is a must to listen to. His name is Andy Hull and he is the lead singer with two different bands. Manchester Orchestra is the more well known of his bands and has a great indie rock feel to it. His other band is Right Away, Great Captain. I love this ones sound because it is much slower and very lyrically driven. Either way, you can't go wrong and I recommend listening to either of them. I also found this other girl that I was going to tell you all about, but when I signed onto TeenFaze.com to tell you all about it I saw a huge banner for her on the front page. Adele has an amazing voice and works with a great producer to fill out her entire sound. Really good stuff!

Thanks Everyone, I hope you are enjoying the start of your summer and I hope to hear from some of you soon. Keep sending in questions to Advice Lounge. We love to answer them.
GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I went and saw the highly anticipated INDY 4 movie this past weekend, and I have to admit I'm very dissapointed. My friends and I were so excited that we bought tickets to the 12:15 in the morning show. I even had to work the next morning, but was too excited to pass up the opportunity. Now, I do have to prerequisite this with the fact that I grew up watching the original three movies. They were some of my dad's favorites, so I have a a warm place in my heart for the Indiana Jones character. I think that might have led to why I disliked this movie so much. I'm not the type to just hate a movie, so I'm going to give you all the reasons why I didn't think it was very good.
1. Harrison wasn't even Indiana Jones for the first half of the movie. It took him a good 45 minutes to eve get back into the character. That just made me sad.
2. The acting in general wasn't very good. I LOVE Cate Blanchett, but didn't think she did a very good job in this movie. Same story with Shia...even though I thought he was better than the others.
3. It was all CGI greenscreen stuff. The old Indy movies had their elements of cheesy graphics and such, but the whole movie was greenscreen with over the top stuff going on. There wasn't even a little bit of reality.
4. The worst part for me was the story. Obviously, I won't go into detail cause I don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen it, but the I thought the story was a huge cop out. It was like, "We need to make this movie so we can make a bunch of money, but we're not going to take the time (AFTER 20 YEARS) to find a good script."
Now, I know I'm not the resident movie guy, but I was so passionate about this I had to tell some people. So, to make things come full circle here's my advice for this week. HAVE LOW HOPES WHEN GOING TO WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!!
Hope you guys have a great week, and I'll talk to you soon.

So, if there are any sports enthusiasts out there you have to be enjoying life at the moment. The Stanley Cup finals are about to start and it should be a great series with the Penguins and the Red Wings. I hate to say it, because I absolutely despise the Red Wings, but I don't see how anyone could possibly beat them. I guess if anyone could do it, it has to be the magic man himself, Sidney Crosby. That kid is rediculous. Could you imagine being 20 years old and having all of the pressure on your back that he does. He handles it immensely wel if you ask me. If you ahve a chance, go watch this video of him...he's pretty amazing.
On another story the NBA playoffs are going on right now and they've been amazing, I myself am rooting for the Boston Celtics. I'm not a band wagon fanatic, but the first NBA game I ever went to was between the Denver Nuggets and the Boston Celtics back when Larry Bird was playing. Since then I've always kind of enjoyed them and wanted them to win. Now I live in LA so the Laker Mania is just crazy right now. I would love to see a Laker vs. Celtic finals, just as a throw back to the good ole days. Either way there is some extremely exciting basketball going on.
vs.
Now I know it's a little early to be talking football, but the countdown has begun and we are less than 100 days from football coming back. That's my number one sport and I can't wait to see some very large men running into each other with plastic strapped all over them. If that doesn't make you smile I don't know what will.
Well, I gotta run to go watch some sports, but I'll see you guys soon.
