So, I don't know how many of you have been getting the news about California, but there have been some crazy fires in Southern California. I've been fortunate enough not to be close enough to any of the fires to be in danger, but it has been so strange around here because of them. The sky is all hazy and muggy and you wouldn't believe the smell that is in the air. They actually even put out a warning telling people not to do heavy physical activity outside because of the air quality.(not that our air quality is very good on a normal basis.) It's really sad to see the pictures of all of the homes that have been burned down, but luckily not to many people were injured during all of the chaos
On a happier note, I have to confess that I went to a concert this weekend. Now most people would be embarrassed to write this for all of you to read, but I'm not at all. I went and saw Hanson on friday night at the House of Blues in Los Angeles! Ya, I know. Everytime I've told somebody about it all they do is laugh and say something about "mmmbop." But that was ten years ago! They are an extrememely good band, and the concert was crazy good.
I also want to tell you guys about a great cause that Hanson told us about at the concert. There is a website/company called Toms Shoes. They make shoes and for every pair that you buy, they send a pair of shoes to a child over in Africa. The shoes are really cool and it's for a great cause so I encourage you all to stop by the website if you have a chance.

Hope everyone is great,
