Oscar season...do you care? I do!

What is up everybody! So, the Oscars are in a couple weeks, and I, for one, am really looking forward to them! But I know a lot of you out there may have not seen or had a chance to see the films nominated. This seems to be the thing Hollywood does: Save the "good pictures" til the end of the year when they can get praised, and any other good films or performances are left in the dust. For example, I believe that Adam Sandler was totally snubbed for his role in Reign Over Me. This may just be the only time you hear it, but I think Sandler gave one of the best performances of the year. But there is no nomination. Now, am I saying Transformers should be up for best picture? No, although they deserve it for Visual Effects... I'm just saying that, while the Academy chooses good films to nominate, such as No Country for Old Men, they often snub the non Oscar season stuff. Know what I'm saying? OH! And one last rant! How in the heck did Spiderman-3 not get nominated for best Visual Effects?! SM2 won the Award a couple years back, and the effects were far better in this flick, or at least I think so... But yeah. Send me your thoughts on the Oscars, including who you think should win! Unfortunatley I didn't see Juno. I've heard it's very good, and I liked "Thank You for Smoking", which is by the same director. When the DVD hits, I'll buy.

Thanks!
